aluplast saw demand rocket in the first quarter of 2022, with sales up by 40% on the same period in 2021, which has coincided with the European systems company’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
A new state-of-the-art production facility in Poland will come on line at the end of the summer, which will support this significant growth.
Director of Sales and Marketing Ian Cocken explained that an increasing number of fabricators across Europe turned to the systems company for energy efficient sustainable products as many markets struggled with post-pandemic demand.
“More companies want to sell aluplast products, and our Flush Sash in particular has been of interest,” Cocken said. “It sums up the strengths within the brand. For example, it is a modern design that fits comfortably with heritage and contemporary projects and wide choice of foils.
“And it is made with ecotech, our ultra-sustainable profile, which is the result of an advanced, ‘dual-extrusion’ process that uses two extruders in parallel to push recycled and virgin polymer through the profile die at the same time. This ensures that recycled material is only used in the internal webbing, remaining isolated from the external wall, with virgin polymer used to provide the external wall of the profile.”
aluplast is currently building a new £26 million state-of-the-art extrusion facility on a 15-hectare site at Nagradowice, Poland, which will include a production hall, a raw material mixing plant alongside technical and R&D facilities.
Servicing the UK and Europe, the new facility, which will have the potential to house up 50 twin extrusion lines, will double aluplast’s already extensive manufacturing capacity. It will come on line in August this year.
“aluplast is a forward-looking business,” Cocken said. “Construction of this plant started in 2017, and is testament to the family’s confidence that the market will continue to expand. It will also house our high-tech dual extruders, again driving sustainability as a key message, and leading the market in innovative solutions.
“We’ll be taking out some of our customers to see the facility for themselves in June. We expect them to be impressed with the group infrastructure that sits behind the aluplast brand in the UK.”
aluplast was founded in Ettlingen, Germany, in December 1982 by Manfred J Seitz, and today remains a family-owned business.
It is one of the world’s leading developers and extruders of premium quality PVC-U window and door products with 24 production plants and sales offices around the world. For more information, call 01684 273401 email info@aluplast.co.uk or visit www.aluplast.co.uk.
