We extrude recycled and virgin material simultaneously through a single die to create a single profile. This locks recycled material away from areas of the frame visible to the end-user or which perform a structural role.
It allows us to utilise recycled content, but also to guarantee surface appearance and finish quality and depth of gloss. The surface is perfect – no pits, no extrusion lines.
With an A+ rating for material type from the Building Research Establishment in its Green Guide, it makes Ideal70, Ideal4000, our Flush Sash Window and Smart-Slide among the UK’s most sustainable window and door systems.
We’re committed to moving our energy to renewable sources. We’ve also significantly cut our consumption by introducing new and highly energy efficient compressed-air screw compressors to our extrusion lines.
This has helped us in achieving the lowest energy consumption figure of any European PVC-U window and door manufacturer.
Our products come with EPDs, the European Environmental Product Declaration in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804, which carefully document the eco footprint of our windows over an average product lifecycle of 50 years.
