A complete systems offer

A global leader in window systems technology, boasting unrivalled flexibility in design and finish, aluplast’s extensive product range underscores its position as one of the UK’s premier systems houses.

Evolved over four decades of specialist knowledge, and with representation on every continent, aluplast ranks among the world’s top tier of PVC-U systems providers.

Boasting one of the most advanced manufacturing capabilities of any profile maker supplying the UK with a next-generation product offering to match, aluplast’s worldwide customer base fabricates more than 10million windows per year.

“As the fourth largest extruder of PVC-U in the world, we can provide our customer base with a highly competitive, versatile and comprehensive product offer that they may struggle to match elsewhere,” says Ian Cocken, aluplast. “That’s one of the benefits of working with a global company of our size and stature.”

With impressive credentials globally, aluplast is, historically, is steadily building its presence in the UK. This included its headlining stand at this year’s FIT Show.

“We received a lot of positive feedback regarding our stand, which made a really big impact,” confirms Ian. “The FIT Show was a great opportunity to properly showcase the breadth of our product offer to a mass audience, and cement our status as a key player, both in the UK and globally.”

The systems company’s vast 186m2 stand, situated in a prominent position close to the entrance of Hall 8, was an impressive focal point of the exhibition. With its complete systems offer comprehensively represented, products on display included both the Ideal 70 and Ideal 4000 flush casements, energy efficient Ideal neo window and door system, and ultra-lifelike woodec and aludec foils.

Available in both the fully sculptured Ideal 70 and contemporary SquareLine Ideal 400 systems, aluplast’s flush casement window boasts the slimmest sightline available in the UK marketplace at just 58mm.

With its mechanical jointing and deep bottom rail, the Ideal 70 version creates an authentic heritage aesthetic, ideal for period properties; while the Ideal 4000 achieves U-values as low as 0.8W/m2K, and a contemporary look to suit modern applications.

Other next generation innovations displayed on aluplast’s stand included the ultra energy-efficient Ideal neo casement window, available from the systems supplier along with its neo smart-slide inline sliding door.

Part of aluplast’s energeto family, Ideal neo achieves U-values as low as 1.2W/m2K using standard double glazed units, and 0.67W/m2K triple glazed.

“Ideal neo demonstrates the versatility of our systems offer,” adds Ian. “It’s very popular with architects and commercial clients because it’s so energy efficient. It’s quite capable of achieving Passive House standards, with good looks and high security performance further enhancing its appeal.”

The high-performing neo smart-slide meets BS6375 for weather tightness and PAS24 for security, achieving heights of up to 2.5m and a span of 6m with just two panels. With Passive House standard U-values as low as 0.63W/m2K, neo smart-slide brings all the advantages of PVC-U into a space usually reserved for more expensive aluminium products.

The complete aluplast range is available in the systems house’s premium aludec and woodec foil finish options, which were also a focal point of its FIT Show display.

Replicating a natural timber appearance, woodec is available in six ultra life-like woodgrains, including Turner Oak Malt for a subtle light oak finish; Turner Oak Walnut for a mid-tone and the darker Turner Oak Toffee.

With Anthracite Grey and Jet Black among its seven finish options, aludec foil convincingly emulates the aesthetics of aluminium, including a textured, powder-coated appearance.

“woodec and aludec have to been seen, and touched, to be believed,” confirms Ian. “Visitors to our FIT Show stand found that not only do they look like the real thing, but they feel like it too, and that’s something that really enhances their universal appeal.”

aludec and woodec have been central to the concept of aluplast’s Engineered Door which was also on display at the FIT Show.

Utilising both the Ideal 70 and Ideal 4000 profiles, the Engineered Door has breathed life into the PVC-U door sector by elevating aesthetics and performance to create a credible alternative to the composite door.

“Our Engineered Door enables fabricators to add value, far beyond the limits of the composite market,” adds Ian. “The addition of aludec and woodec create next level authenticity that really broaden the product’s appeal to a wider market.”

If its extensive PVC-U product range wasn’t enough, the systems house has taken its complete systems offer one step further, with the introduction of a brand-new aluminium window and door system. Teased at the FIT Show, they system is set to be officially launched later this year.

“Our product range significantly raises the bar when it comes to versatility and flexibility,” adds Ian. “Our presence at the year’s FIT Show really helped us to demonstrate that, and reassure fabricators that whether you work with domestic or commercial clients, we’ve got all the bases covered with top-quality, highly innovative and energy efficient product solutions.

“As we venture into the world of aluminium, the limits of what our customers can achieve with our industry-leading products, will only extend even further. Watch this space!”
